PRO Basement - Lowering Underpinning & Waterproofing Toronto

We had been putting off our basement renovation for years. It’s an old Toronto house, with ceilings barely 6’2”, and after every heavy rain we would nervously check it for leaks. We got three quotes for basement lowering and waterproofing and chose PRO Basement. Honestly, they were the only ones who actually explained how everything works and why they do things a certain way, instead of just giving us a price.
The end result: the ceiling is now 8'4", full waterproofing inside and out, new weeping tile around the perimeter, a sump pump, and a backwater valve (which, honestly, should have been installed years ago). They also lowered and relocated the furnace and water heater, and I didn’t even know that was possible. That alone gave us so much more room and usable space.
On top of that, the team built us a separate entrance to the basement, which is a huge benefit for everyone living in the house.
Now that the basement meets the legal height requirements, and we already have tenants moving in next month. Our only regret is not doing this five years ago. Thanks

We hired PRO Basement for basement lowering and waterproofing, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The team arrived on time, explained every step in detail, and got straight to work.
The lowering was done carefully and according to all engineering requirements and drawings. Our basement is now dry, level, and clean — a huge improvement.
I also appreciated their professionalism: they kept their word, worked efficiently, and kept us updated throughout the entire process. You can tell they truly know what they’re doing.
I recommend the guys from the PRO Basement to anyone looking for a reliable contractor for basement work.

Once we saw a PRO BASEMENT banner on our street. He belonged to a team of young guys who lowered our neighbor’s basement. Seeing the finished work, we decided to contact the company. The team continues to work carefully and professionally. The price was very reasonable. Igor’s communication and Slava’s work planning made us happy. We had problems with groundwater that was rising in our basement during the excavation, but the guys professionally coped with it and took care of the problem during the foundation work.
Our basement turned out to be a great place for families and guests. Many thanks to the whole team for the opportunity to give a second life to our basement. I really appreciate it.

The whole experience was incredible of lowering our basement. Our house is more than a hundred years old, and the project turned out to be quite complicated, due to the field stone foundation and sandy soil. Proper planning and work environment of the team were at the highest level. One of the main reasons why we decided to contact PRO Basement is, of course, the team's experience, examples of completed projects and recommendations of our neighbours. They took upon absolutely everything (e.g. organized visits of the engineers and city inspectors), informed us daily about the progress of work in the basement and what we liked the most, actively conducted daily reports on their social networks. We are also grateful to PRO Basement for recommending an excellent heating, ventilation and air conditioning company to help in the next stages of the project. Igor and Slava really made the whole process simple and easy.
The PRO Basement team has always been professional and ready to answer any of our questions. They also gave us some valuable tips on additional details in the basement that we didn't think of. The team that works in this company was simply amazing. All of them were incredibly kind, respectful and very hardworking. Every day after work, the floors were swept and cleaned up. The team completed the whole process quickly and efficiently.

Thank you so much for your professionalism and dedication!

We highly recommend PRO Basement to all our friends and family!

My family is super happy that they chose your company to lower our basement in the house. I sincerely want to thank your team for the exceptional work of renovating my basement. The lowering of the basement was completed accurately, creating a more functional space. The waterproofing was thorough and gave me peace of mind from the problems with humidity and potential leaks. The heated floors added a touch of comfort, which I really appreciate, especially in the cold winter months. The drainage system and the sump pump were installed unhindered and away from the eyes. Finally, the concrete slab was polished to perfection and that exceeded my expectations by 200%.
Your professionalism and hard work made the whole process smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend your company to anyone looking for reliable and high-quality basement lowering services in Toronto. We look forward to receiving permits from the city and starting a new project for my sister with pro basement guys!
